How are You Living Your Life? Cold? Hot? or Lukewarm?

Hey the GREAT Edward here,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

A while back I wrote about about the idea of lukewarm living...

My post from last week You Just Gotta Get It Goin...

and my good friend Paul Klaszus' post The Sum of All Successes!

had me go back and take a look at a note I wrote before on being Lukewarm in life.

It goes a little something like this...

(From November 1, 2009)

I have been thinking about the idea of lukewarm for the past week now and wanted to share some thoughts with you about it.

Question: Are you feeling lukewarm in certain areas of your life?

Your work, finances, relationships, spirituality, etc.?

At times we all feel lukewarm in certain aspects of our life.

So what does it mean to be lukewarm?

I looked up the definition and this is what I found:

1. mildly warm; tepid

OR

2. laking conviction or enthusiasm; indifferent

Hmmmm.....

... the first one reminds me of water when I have spent to long in the shower before it becomes cold.

... the second one really makes me think that lukewarm reminds me of times in my life when I am in my comfort zone and pretty neutral to things even numb. They are times when I am not "cold" and doing nothing and also not hot and on fire where my determination and conviction is so strong that nothing can stop me.

I know for a fact that none of us were created to be living a lukewarm life.
Each one of us was created with the greatness inside to go for it full on in all that we do to achieve our goals, dreams, and desires that are waiting for us to attain.

I know what some of you are saying. I say it myself sometimes. Life gets in the way, challenges show up, set backs happen, and even the four letter word of FEAR creeps in from time to time.

Despite that we must remember that every day is a new day;

and a gift that is given to us to move ahead

learning from the past;

with great faith, hope, and belief of our vision, goals, and dreams of the future;

to allow us to be on fire with passion and full conviction in every moment of the journey.

This is the day to start turning up the heat in your life and creating your best life one moment at a time.

You deserve it.

You are created to experience it.

Let's get out there and be Hot in all that we do.

Crank up the heat!

Make it a great day!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!

God Bless!

You Just Gotta Get It Goin...

YES! YES! YES!

The GREAT Edward here,

Did You have a Phenomenal Weekend or What?

I had a great time with my family.  Went to visit the Ontario Science Center.
Had not been there since I was a kid.  My daughter loved it.

Before I joined the TSA a few months ago and ventured into the Blogging and Video world...

there had been many times where I have talked myself out of even getting started....  Have you been there?

A GREAT Mentor and friend of my Joe Schroeder always reminds me...

"You don't have to get it right you just have to get it going"

This has stuck with me and motivated me to get started.

As I began in this Blogging endeavor I came across this inspiration that keeps me going...

"It's not who you are that holds you back; It's who you think you are not."

This one really makes me think and stirs my insides around.

As I look deeper into this idea I realize that its the things that I think about doing...

or even worse know that I should be doing...  planning, organizing, wishing, hoping to do...

that I don't take action on that hold me back.  WOW!  That hits home hard for me.  What about You?

So I think out loud... Why do I get stopped by these things?

I have come to believe that our success really does come from who we think we are not...

rather than who we think we are.

Here are some of my experiences...

1. I think to myself... I am not a good speaker... Therefore I cannot do videos or speak in public.

2. I think to myself... I am not a good writer... Therefore I cannot write blog posts, articles, notes, etc.

If I was to continue to take action based on this way of thinking about myself...

I would not have even got started.  I am glad that I moved passed it and did it anyway.

I would not be here to share with you if I did not....  and what a great blessing I would have missed out on.

Here is some more inspiration that keeps me going.  I actually carry these around in my pocket with me...

"You can't be more that you believe yourself to be right now."

and

"If you don't conquer self, you will be conquered by self"

So what are you waiting for?  Is there anything holding you back?

You really just have to get it going!

Start being who you are not today so you can become who you where meant to be tomorrow.

Share your thoughts and comments below.

Make it a great day!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

God Bless!

I have been for almost two months now.

It has been an excellent experience.

I have had the chance to meet some Amazing people,

Connect with them,

Learn from them,

and Share their Great Content with Others.

If you are not sure what a Tribe is here is my definition:

"A group of like minded people who work together for the good of all
to share each others content with others."

The act of sharing content is called Syndication.

It is being said by some that it is the next wave of Internet Marketing.

From my experience I would agree.  I am certainly experiencing some Great Results.

Here are some of my stats from the past two months of me being an active participant in a Tribe:

1. Over 900 visits to my blog
2. Over 1200 page views on my blog
3. Average 10 comments per post

Choose one that fits your needs.

I am part of an amazing group called The Tribe Syndication Association

It was created from the vision of Dave and Dawn Cook and has some amazing results.

Follow the Leader Who Follows the Leader

YES! YES! YES!

The GREAT Edward here,

It is a wonderful Spring day today, even feels a bit like summer.

Was out doing some yard work and cleaning up things.

My daughter brought out the patio furniture onto the deck in the back yard.

I look forward to sharing many sunsets and bbq dinners together with my family there.

Anyway...

Leaders and Leadership is a topic that I spend a lot of time studying and practicing in my life.

I strive each day to live the moments as a true leader for everyone.

So this week I went back to look at the definitions of Leadership and this one stood out for me

"The Ability to Lead."

Hmm... that sounds pretty straight forward to me.

To be in a position of Leadership or a Leader you have to lead.  O.K.

To lead it must mean that you have followers so...

Leadership through this definition means you that you have followers.

To be a Leader your followers need to feel like you are going to take them somewhere.

For that to happen I believe that you have to have a definite purpose, a clear vision, and direction

that can shared with others in such a way that they can make the choice to follow you or not.

This is good.  Makes sense to me.  You?

Then here is my question:  Can Leadership also be defined as "The Ability to Follow"?

I believe to be a Leader at one time in your life you had to be a follower...

and that who you followed determined the Leader you became and are at this very moment.

So, as a leader do you ever stop being a follower? or do you just change the people that you follow?

How have the people that you have followed changed as your Leadership has?  Or is it the same?

If the people you follow have not changed then I believe one of the following to be true:

1. You are no longer growing in your Leadership

OR

2. You have not yet reached the full Leadership potential of those who you are following

Hopefully you are leaning more towards the second one.

If not, then it is probably time to pick up your torch and start following someone new.

They are waiting for you to show up!

So to be a Leader you need to have followers and you also need to be a follower of other great Leaders.

Be the Leader today that you were created to be...

Go out and follow a Leader today.

Follow The Leader Who Follows the Leader.

You deserve it!  and so do your followers!

To Your Abundant and Prosperous Success!

What Do You Think About You?

YES! YES! YES!

The GREAT Edward here,

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!

I have come to believe that how we think about ourselves is definitely linked to the life we create and live.

This concept seems very simple to me... You Get What You Put In.   Right?

So if you fill your mind with thoughts of hope, joy, gratitude, and love...

then you will create those things in your life. Right?

If on the other hand you fill your mind with worry, stress, anxiety, fear, and resentment...

then those things will show up in the life that you create.  Hmmm.

Our mind is such a wonderful gift that we have been given. It is what feeds our heart and creates our life.

We are transformed through the constant renewal of our mind on a regular basis.

I believe that we are all created to live a great life...

and it is through the activities of our thinking that create the life that we live right now.

So if you want to make a change in your life you must first create that change it in your mind.

Everything ever created in this world was created first in the minds of people before it came to be.

I was at a training event last summer where a truly amazing person and speaker Lisa Jimenez

She shared the following insights about who we are and are not...

1. You are NOT your: circumstances, fear, past, or even your beliefs or thoughts.

2. You are: Pure possibility!

YOU ARE WHOEVER YOU SAY YOU ARE RIGHT NOW!

This really hit home with me...

It reminds me of how powerful the thoughts we think of ourselves...

is related to the life that we create and live out each moment of every day.

So take some time to reflect on who you are at this moment?

What thoughts are defining you and creating the life that you are currently living?

Then take a step and see in your mind that you are capable of creating anything you want in your life.

Answer these questions for yourself...

What is your dream life look like?

Where do you live? What do you do? Who do you do it with? What do you have?

What defines who you are?

Write down your thoughts, visualize it, know it to be true right now at this moment!

Believe that you can have the life of your dreams and you will.

It all starts with the thoughts in your mind.

Through this you can change the world around you and have a great life for yourself and others.

To Your Abundant and Prosperous Success!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Here are some thoughts from the GREAT Napoleon Hill that influenced this post:

"Your world will become what you choose to make it. You can reach great heights of success, or you can settle for a miserable life that is devoid of hope. The choice is yours. When you choose a positive course, you set in motion an unstoppable force that will allow you to have a fulfilling career, the love of your family and friends, good physical and mental health, and all of the other true riches of life. To change your world, you must change it from the inside out. You must begin with yourself. When you choose the course that puts your life on a positive track, you will change your life for the better, and you will also positively influence the people with whom you come in contact."

When In Doubt ... Be Thankful!

YES! YES! YES!

The GREAT Edward here,

Back from a refreshing weekend and ready for a phenomenal week ahead...

I received this amazing poem below on gratitude and thankfulness from my friend Coach Stoney over at Transformation.com

Check it out...

BE THANKFUL

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.
Be thankful for the limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.
It's easy to be thankful for good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

WOW!

This poem reminds me of the great joy that comes from living a life based in this way.

The true joy that comes from being thankful is amazing.

It is so easy to Be Thankful for the Good Stuff,  Right?

But...  Is it not the more challenging things in our life that give us even more joy?

Huh?  Well when we find a way to be thankful for them too.

I believe that how we respond to the challenges in our lives ultimately decides the outcome and results.

Respond with gratitude and an open heart that there is something great coming and what what will happen.

I am thankful every day that I have the opportunity to learn more...

and create more in this amazing world that we live in.

I take everything as it comes with full personal responsibility...

and use each challenge as a lesson to teach me and allow me to grow to something new.

I am thankful for all that I have...

and especially the relationships that I have created with others.

It is through these relationships that I grow so much and get inspired to give back even more.

Thank all of you for your friendship, I really appreciate it and value it from my heart.

Go out and face your challenges today head on!

It is when we move through them to the other side that we will experience ...

true joy, happiness and success in our lives.

So, What do you think about the topic of being thankful?

Share your thoughts below.

Have a fantastic day!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

God Bless!

The Most Important Ingredient of Leadership.... Do You Know What It Is?

YES! YES! YES!

The GREAT Edward here,

Hope everyone had a FANTASTIC Weekend!  I sure did...

It is officially Spring time here in London Ontario Canada.

I love this time of year...

Daylight Savings Time Kicks in and we have more hours of sunlight...

All things that Died out for the Winter are coming back to New Life...

Life is good....

A few weeks ago I was on a Mastermind call with a few of my friends and we were talking about Leadership.

One of the things we dug into was the question...

"What is the most important ingredient of leadership?"

John C Maxwell answers this question in his book "Developing the Leader Within You" as

  INTEGRITY

So... What is Integrity anyway?

The dictionary defines Integrity as: The state of being complete, unified.

Interesting...  What does it mean to be Complete?

When I looked up that definition I found Complete to mean: Having all Necessary or Normal parts.

Also Interesting...

So when we have Integrity...

We are in The state where we have all Necessary and Normal Parts.

   OR

Our faith, beliefs, thoughts, words, and deeds match up.

I am who I am, no matter where I am, or who I am with.

Is Integrity something that others think of you or is it something you think of yourself?

I believe that Reputation is what other people think you are and Integrity is what we really are.

and... Our Reputation is determined by our Credibility.

Hmmmm.... How does Credibility fit into this idea of Leadership?

Well, the more Credible you are,
the more Confidence People will have in You,
and therefore Allowing You the Opportunity of having an Influence in their life...

Since I believe that Influence is the core of Leadership (See my post What is YOUR CaPaCiTY to EARN? - RE-RE-ViSiTeD...), therefore Integrity must be the most important ingredient.

That's AWESOME!

So there you have it, the most important ingredient of Leadership is INTEGRITY.

So what does Integrity mean to you?

How do you see it working in your life?

Leave your thoughts below.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Make it a great day!

God Bless!

BTW - If you follow me on Twitter or are a friend of mine on Facebook you know that I love quotes. I have a bunch of them that I carry around with me in my pocket and when I get a chance I take them out and read them.  One of them I would like to share with you today....  It goes like this:

Who Are The Sages In Your Life?

YES! YES! YES!

The GREAT Edward here,

Had a PHENOMENAL Weekend!  How about You?

I am part of a men's group at my church were we meet every Wednesday morning.

Great group of guys.  It's wonderful to share with them all.

We are currently reading and studying a book called "Fathered by God", by John Eldredge.

The book talks about the stages of mans life.  Last week we got to the final stage which he called the "Sage".

When I first heard that word Sage, I thought about Eastern Culture, Religion, and Spirituality.

I did not see it in the context of Christianity at that time.

As I have been studying the book of proverbs this year, it has becoming clearer.

In my study I came across this verse:

"The glory of young men is their strength,
grey hair the splendor of the old." ~ Proverbs 20:29

I have always had an understanding of the value of the great people in our world who have grey hair.

They have been given the gift of a great life and have so much wisdom, and understanding to share with us through their experiences.

It is strange that the stage of life of the Sage is rarely enjoyed, offered, or experienced.

For most people, this is a stage we anticipate going through in the future and it distracts us from what we need to do now, in the gift if this present moment, in order to prepare ourselves for it.

Through this I have been reminded of the value that a Sage can bring to our lives.

It is time to be more diligent and certain to seek out the wise council that only a True Sage can provide.

Too many people in the world today are far too willing to offer their thoughts on subjects in which they have no real personal experience, and their "wisdom" is not grounded in reality.

Have you come across a few of these people in your life?

In fact, most of what they say is most likely to be a theory at best, but even more likely it is speculation only.

Wow,  watch out for these False Sages in your life.

What about an Expert?  Are they considered a Sage?  What do you think the difference is between them?

Humility might be the great dividing line between an expert and a Sage.

An Expert seeks to impress you.

A Sage offers his gift of his presence, the richness of his soul, that only comes from a long life lived with God.

So, who are the Sages in your life?

How have they had an impact  on what you do and how you live your life?

One last thought...

To many people think that people who are Sages do not have time in their lives for wise council to others when in fact it is because of this thinking that most of them find themselves alone with no one to share with.

Go find yourself a Sage today!  It will be one of the best things you ever did!

What is YOUR CaPaCiTY to EARN? - RE-RE-ViSiTeD...

YES! YES! YES!

The GREAT Edward here,

Hope everyone is doing Phenomenal on this Amazing Day!

This is the ThiRD Installment the serious of posts on YOUR CaPaCiTY to EARN!

If the First One What is YOUR CaPaCiTY to EARN? we discussed:

"You will only earn income to the degree that you can be replaced"

In the Second Installment What is YOUR CaPaCiTY to EARN? - RE-ViSiTeD... we discussed:

"The Role that Value Plays"

In this post I want to take a look at the second component which is InFluence.

Let's start by defining InFluence as ... "The Ability to Obtain Followers."

There were many People of InFluence in this world such as...

Martin Luther King Jr., Winston Churchill, JFK, Jesus and even Hitler.

Each of these People had the Ability to Obtain Followers.

(whether for the purpose of good or not we can leave for another post :-)

Some interesting points about InFluence:

1. Everyone in this world InFluences someone...

2. We never know Who or How Much we InFluence others round us... and

3. It is a skill that can be developed.

So, let's look for a moment at the Idea of Success.

How do you Measure Success in your areas of your life?

In your Business?

Well, that's easy... RIGHT?

Business = $$$ (The amount of money I earn)

Is this the TRUE Measure of Success?

It seems like Something is Missing....

Check this out...

If your Business Disappeared or went away Tomorrow...

What would you do?

How would you recover?

How long would it take?

Hmmmm...... Interesting Questions???

I have come to realize that People partner with People in Business.

And They are People that They Know, Like, and Trust.

This is where I see InFluence comes in.

To have true Success that will last beyond any Business you MUST have InFluence.

The ability to lead others along Your Direction towards Your Vision!

So next time you think of measuring the success in your business, ask the question...

How is my InFluence rather than How Big is my Pay Check...

WHaT I LeaRNeD In UniVerSiTY

YES! YES! YES!

Hey GREAT Edward here,

Are you having a Phenomenal day?

Are you Living Your Passion, Loving Your Life, and Being A Good Learner?

I came across this Quote last week that Twisted and Spun around in My Mind.

"In times of change learners inherit the earth; while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists." - Eric Hoffer

And it got me to thinking about my experience as a student at University.

What did I Really Learn there...

mY FiREs BuRnIN oN ThE DaNCe FLooR ToDaY? HoW AbOUT YouRS?

YES! YES! YES!

The GREAT Edward here,

Hope you are having a Phenomenal week and just CRUSHIN IT!

So I was on my way to work this morning...

Just dropped my daughter off at school.

Jumped back in the car with my AWESOME Wife Julie!

She was off to Lady's bible study at our Church this morning after dropping me off at work...

We had just finished listening to Joe Schroeder's CD of the Month... The Walmart Way!

If you are a member of the Million Mind March then you know what I'm talking about.

It has been in the car since we got it last month and played at least a couple dozen times.

Choose Your Horse Wisely!

Anyway... I turned on the radio and Fire Burning by Sean Kingston come on.

I feel a stir inside... I turn it up a bit...

The stirring gets stronger and I can't contain it any more...

I start Grooving... I can't stop! I just keeps coming out!!!!

You know that feeling you get when you just want to dance... move... shake... let it ALL OUT!

I look over at Julie... She's smilin' and starts to laugh...

You know White Men Can't Dance... I am one of them!

But the Groove is on and I'm not stoppin. I turn it uP!

I'm goin like 80 miles an hour now. Just ROCKIN IT!

The car is ROCKIN now. I wonder if we will get pulled over...

I say that I'll just ask the cop "Is YouR FiRE BuRnIN oN ThE DaNCe FLooR?"

Oh yeah... What a RUSH!

So I'm thinking about... "How is my fire burning on my dance floor today?"

Am I living my passion in what I am doing?

Is what I am doing helping me to achieve my goals and dreams?

Is it helping others to achieve theirs?

Am I burning up the road to get there?

We all need to find our passion in our lives that comes from being our true authentic self.

Once we connect with that which we were born to be, then it will all flow from us naturally.

So how do you find this passion and live your authentic self....

Check out some of the resources on my blog.

They might just Tilt YouR HeAD and stir you up inside!

When the stirring comes, you know your close....

In the mean time, click on the video below, get your grove on,

turn up your speakers to 11 and start burning it uP!

Make it a great day!
